Humanitair personeel en organisaties die het doelwit zijn geworden van geweld ondervinden nog steeds aanzienlijke belemmeringen wanneer ze toegang zoeken tot gerechtigheid.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1282 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"405\" height=\"277\" srcset=\"https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-1024x699.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-768x524.jpg 768w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-1536x1048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Group-pic-final-2048x1398.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 405px) 100vw, 405px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Het tweedaagse evenement werd bijgewoond door 36 humanitaire werkers, experts, en juristen van diverse organisaties, universiteiten en instellingen. De verschillende plenaire, panel- en groepssessies waren gericht op de volgende objectieven:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evalueren van de huidige wettelijke kaders en identificeren van mechanismen om daders van geweld tot verantwoording te roepen;<\/li>\n<li>Doorlichten van strategie\u00ebn om toegang tot rechtsbijstand te verbeteren, in het bijzonder voor lokale werknemers;<\/li>\n<li>Benadrukken hoe een netwerk van overlevenden van geweld en families van nabestaanden een cruciale rol kan spelen in mechanismen voor gerechtigheid en aansprakelijkheid;<\/li>\n<li>Identificeren van stappen die staten kunnen zetten om misdaden tegen humanitair personeel te onderzoeken en vervolgen, en om verslag uit te brengen van ondernomen acties;<\/li>\n<li>Vastleggen van een gezamenlijk actieplan en formele aanbevelingen;<\/li>\n<li>Opzetten van een samenwerkingsnetwerk voor pleitbezorging, tastbare actie, en gezamenlijk leren, waarbinnen overlevenden, experts, juristen, humanitaire hulpverleners, en vertegenwoordigers van lidstaten worden samengebracht.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deze workshop markeerde het begin van een reeks \u00a0evenementen die erop gericht zijn om gerechtigheid en aansprakelijkheid ten opzichte van humanitair personeel bovenaan de internationale agenda blijven staan.<\/p>\n<p><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1294 \" src=\"https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923-294x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923-294x300.jpg 294w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923-1004x1024.jpg 1004w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923-768x783.jpg 768w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923-1506x1536.jpg 1506w, https:\/\/protecthumanitarians.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/PHOTO-2025-04-02-12-07-54-scaled-e1746967995923.jpg 1590w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u201cDe voorbije jaren is er steeds meer aandacht gekomen voor het belang van gerechtigheid voor slachtoffers en overlevenden van geweld, en voor aansprakelijkheid van de daders. Humanitaire hulpverleners moeten beter beschermd worden. Maar we moeten ook de stemmen laten horen van de overlevenden en de nabestaanden van slachtoffers onder de humanitaire werkers.
